Google Stadia can be used as a test on any Android smartphone with the app
Google is expanding the number of smartphones that can be used for its Stadia game streaming service. As an experiment, games can be played on any Android smartphone that can run the Stadia app. Official support is available for more OnePlus devices.
Even if an Android smartphone is not on Google’s list of devices with official Stadia support, users can choose to try the game streaming service. The only requirement is that the smartphone runs the Stadia app, according to Google, who adds that it is an experiment and would like feedback on the findings.
In addition, the OnePlus 5 and 5T, OnePlus 6 and 6T, and the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7 Pro 5G, 7T, 7T Pro and 7T Pro 5G now have official support for Stadia. The OnePlus 8 models already had that. In addition, Google has given the mobile app an update with touch control. Users can select the ‘Try touch gamepad’ option for this, after which any Stadia game should work with it. Google reports that the operation is still to be refined.
