Sketches in Miui show next foldable smartphone from Xiaomi

Sketches have been found in Xiaomi’s Android skin Miui that seem to confirm that a release of Xiaomi’s next foldable smartphone is getting closer. The sketches show a smartphone with a folding screen on the inside and a flat screen on the outside.

A Polish, unofficial translator from Miui brought out the impressions. The pictures and the short video show a smartphone that is reminiscent of last year’s Mix Fold. The smartphone shown is not the Mix Fold, because the position of the cameras is different. The Mix Fold has the front camera in the screen on the front right, on these sketches it is centrally located. The rear cameras sit in a square element in the new sketches; the Mix Fold has a rectangular camera island.

The sketches are an indication that Xiaomi is preparing the release of its second folding smartphone. The previous one came out a year ago, but Xiaomi kept the release limited to China. The model has not been released on the European market. There are no further specs and details known of the successor to the Mix Fold. It is also unclear when the device should be released.
