The handheld that Logitech is working on with Tencent will be available under the name Logitech G Cloud. This is evident from applications that the company has submitted to inspection services. The handheld appears to come with Android 11 at release.
The term Logitech G Cloud is mentioned, among other things, by the American inspection agency FCC and the United States Patent Officenoted Twitter user Kuba Wojciechowski on. The name thus confirms the emphasis Logitech places on cloud gaming. Logitech announced in early August that it will release a cloud gaming handheld this year. The company is collaborating with Tencent for this.
Information from the FCC shows that the G Cloud, among other things, supports WiFi on the 5GHz frequency and gets a 6000mAh battery. Support for mobile connections such as 4G or 5G is not mentioned. However, it is also possible that that aspect still needs to be approved by the FCC. The device will also be given the model name GR0006.
The handheld is also appeared several times in the Geekbench database. Between January and March, the device was tested with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G soc from 2020, 4GB memory and Android 11. The same specifications and Android version are listed in the Google Play Store Console, also writes well-known leaker Evan Blass. Information there also shows that the screen will have a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. According to Wojciechowski, the Snapdragon 720G supports an Android 12 upgrade, but the chip cannot handle Android 13.
Evan Blass recently shared images of the handheld, which showed, among other things, that the handheld will receive support for cloud gaming services such as Nvidia GeForce NOW and Xbox Cloud Gaming. The handheld has a large screen with two sticks, a D-pad and A, B, X and Y buttons. These images have since been taken offline following a copyright request from Logitech.
