Test version of remaster Halo 3 coming next month
The remastered version of Halo 3 should get a public test next month. Developer 343 Industries says it’s ahead of schedule, allowing registered users to start playing soon. A remaster of Halo 2 was released recently.
On its website, 343 Industries states that the first test build will be given to partners next week. Interested users can then start playing in the first half of June. It is the first time a release date has been mentioned for Halo 3, but it is not yet clear when the final release is planned; It was previously stated that Halo 3 should be released this year.
Those who want to participate in the test must enroll in the Halo Insider program for PC. That’s free, and also offers players the chance to report bugs.
The Halo 2 remaster was released earlier this month. The game, called Halo 2: Anniversary, is available for PC. Compared to the original, not only the graphics, but also the music and sound effects have been improved. The remaster is part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. That collection includes all Halo games up to and including the fourth volume. The games will be released in chronological order, making Halo 3 the next in the series.
