Razer releases Wolverine V2 controller with programmable buttons for Xbox
Razer is releasing its own controller for the Xbox Series X and S. It has a ‘better ergonomic design’, two programmable extra buttons, and Razer’s own Mecha-Tactile action buttons. It is a wired controller.
The Razer Wolverine V2 is an officially licensed Xbox controller for the new generation of consoles. The controller uses the company’s Mecha-Tactile technology for the d-pad and the action buttons. According to Razer, they have an actuation distance of 0.65 mm. That would make them more than a third faster than the original Xbox controllers.
On the back, Razer has adjusted the triggers. They have a hair trigger mode that activates the triggers earlier, and a trigger stop that allows faster firing. The controller also has two extra buttons that are not on the original Xbox controller. These can be configured via an app on the Xbox. The buttons are on the back next to the triggers. The controller is wired and has a three meter cable. The Wolverine V2 weighs 247 grams and costs 119.99 euros.
