Yate, short for Yet another telephony engine, is a C++ engine for telephony that now focuses mainly on voip and pstn. It is easy to expand and can therefore also be used for transferring video or data and instant messaging. For example, Yate can be used as an H.323 gatekeeper, sip router, sip registration server, ivr engine or voip2pstn gateway. For more information, we refer you to this page. Version 2.0:
Yate 2 launched. New features include analog lines, robbed bit, SS7, passive recording on E1/T1 and analog, clustering, high availability, MGCP, and Jingle. libpri was replaced with ysig. In YateClient, jingle support was added and the interface was improved. The GTK interface was replaced with a Qt interface. Get your copy from the Download page.
Version 2.0alpha 2:
Yate 2.0.0 alpha 2 released on February 4, 2008. A new late routing module allows sending ENUM routed or forked calls to numbers of registered phones.
