‘Apple Pencil works with iPhone 2018’
Are you an enthusiastic user of the Apple Pencil? Good news: chances are you can use the Pencil with the new iPhone 2018, which will probably be announced in September.
Apple Pencil also for iPhone
The Apple Pencil is Apple’s own stylus , meant to sketch, write and scribble. The Pencil first appeared in 2015 and was for a long time exclusively for the iPad Pro . In March this year the latest version of the ‘normal’ iPad was published, and the Pencil is also working on this. The new iPhone will probably be added to this list in the near future.
Apple is launching three iPhones this year. A 6.1-inch iPhone with LCD screen, and two OLED models with a 5.8 and 6.5-inch screen respectively. A TrendForce report now talks about Apple Pencil support. It is not yet clear whether that applies to all three models: perhaps the LCD iPhone falls outside the boat. But the 6.5-inch model is almost tablet-like proportions and then a stylus is not a luxury.
TrendForce mentions even more details about the iPhone 2018, but it is often about information that has already come out. This way, the formats of the three iPhone 2018 models are confirmed once again. The image below shows TrendForce’s expectations for the new iPhone.
What is striking is the amount of storage capacity that is predicted. With the budget iPhone you can choose from 64 or 256 GB of storage. With both OLED models, this goes even further: there you can choose from 64, 256 and 512 GB storage – twice as much as with the iPhone X last year and many Mac has to do it with less. The OLED models both have 4 GB RAM, the budget iPhone is stuck at 3 GB. According to TrendForce, Apple is not going to boost the prices of the iPhone in comparison with the past year. The most expensive model, the 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus is as expensive as the 5.8-inch iPhone X of 2017. But well, € 1160.45 is and remains an astronomical amount.
