Gigabyte introduces passively cooled HD 5770
Gigabyte has introduced an HD 5770, which is equipped with the so-called Silent Cell cooling of the hardware manufacturer. The passive cooling covers the entire video card and even hangs over the PCB at some points. The GPU is running at 850MHz.
The fastest video card to date that was provided with passive cooling by Gigabyte was the HD 5750. Now Gigabyte also has the faster HD 5770 equipped with passive Silent Cell cooling. Four 6mm thick heatpipes dissipate the heat to the countless aluminum cooling fins.
Gigabyte kept the clock speeds of 850MHz and 4800MHz for the GPU and the memory respectively. The video card is also equipped with a DVI port, an HDMI port and a display port. Gigabyte has not yet announced what the video card should cost and when it will be available for sale.
