Total War: Warhammer III has nearly 700 mods on Steam Workshop in just a few days
Total War: Warhammer III, the third title in Total War’s strategy game series that focuses on the fantasy world of Warhammer, received Steam Workshop support a few days ago. That has already led to a small 700 mods.
Listed in the Steam Workshop section of Total War: Warhammer III at the time of writing 675 different items in the mods category. A day after Steam Workshop support was added for the game, 500 mods were already present, wrote PCGamesN.
This support was added through the patch 1.1 released on Tuesday. Bugs have also been fixed, unit responsiveness has been improved and a number of changes have been made to make the Realm of Chaos campaign less tedious and frustrating.
Among the various mods is the Better Camera Mod, which was also available for the previous two games in the series. Allows players to zoom in and out further during battles. Furthermore, there is a mod that allows to prevent the Chaos Rifts from occurring. That means the story elements are no longer part of the campaign and players can experience a more classic sandbox mode.
The developer of Total War: Warhammer III made it clear before that the game only contained “the first stage of mod functionality” when released on February 17. Back then, support for the Assembly Kit, Steam Workshop, and the Mod Manager was announced.
