Google will hold its annual I/O trade show on May 11 and 12 this year. It will be tracked online. A ‘limited number’ of people can also be physically present. The fair is mainly aimed at developers and Google usually makes announcements about Android, for example.

Just like previous years will the developer fair take place at the Shoreline Amphitheater in San Francisco, which invites can also be physically present. The fair will be online, just like last year, but there was no physical version for the 2021 edition due to the corona virus. Against The Verge Google says there will be a limited audience, but it’s not clear how many people will be able to attend. It will mainly be Google employees ‘and partners’. The online version will be accessible to everyone online.

Before Google CEO Sundar Pichai on Twitter revealed the dates of the fair, Google published four puzzles that participants could solve in order to find out the dates earlier. Each puzzle has its own music. When solving the puzzles, these four pieces of music are combined. This complete song is out the I/O 2022 site to listen.

During I/O, Google often announces new features, software, and upgrades. This year, the company will probably show more of Android 13. For example, last year Google announced more about the new interface of Android 12, showed Project Starline for video connections with 3D modeling and announced more information about the sources of search results. Google has also shown hardware at the I/O fair in the past.
