The Red Hat development team today released the fifth version of its commercial distribution Enterprise Linux made available. Originally, the 5 Series was slated for a February 28 release after being delayed earlier. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 – or RHEL5 for short – ships with Linux kernel 2.6.18 and improvements in hardware support, networking and security.
