Black Shark 3 gaming smartphones launch in Europe next week
The Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro will go on sale in Europe from May 8. The gaming smartphones came out in China in early March. Manufacturer Xiaomi has not yet announced euro prices.
Black Shark has launched a promotional campaign on its European website, revealing that the company’s third-generation gaming smartphones will be on sale from May 8. The Black Shark 3 models contain a Snapdragon 865-soc, a 5g modem and a battery that can quickly charge with 65W. The manufacturer claims that the smartphones have good cooling, with heat pipes on both sides of the motherboard, which should keep the soc cool when gaming.
The gaming smartphones are equipped with lpddr5 RAM and ufs 3.0 flash memory for storage. On the back is a primary camera with a 64-megapixel sensor, an ultra-wide-angle camera with a 13-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor for depth measurement.
The screen of the Black Shark 3 is a 6.7″ OLED panel with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The larger Pro version has a 7.1″ screen with the same refresh rate, but a higher resolution of 3120×1440 pixels. The Pro model also has physical shoulder buttons, which flip up out of the housing when used.
Black Shark does not mention prices in euros yet. The Black Shark 2 Pro came out at the end of last year for 599 euros. The table below shows the Chinese suggested retail prices and the converted amount in euros. Actual euro prices are probably higher.
