Sony to introduce gaming monitors and headsets for PC and PS5 next week
Sony is reportedly set to unveil two gaming monitors next week, aimed at use with PlayStation consoles or PCs. The manufacturer would also announce three gaming headsets; images have appeared.
Sony releases the monitors and headsets under the new brand name Inzone, claims leaker Tom Henderson on exuter† It would be two monitors, of which a 4k model with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a full-HD version with a 240Hz panel. The monitors have VRR support and a response time of 1ms, according to the message. The 4k model would receive a DisplayHDR 600 certificate, while the 1080p model has to make do with the lowest DisplayHDR 400 qualification.
The monitors would get gaming features, such as the display of the number of frames per second, a black equalizer to lighten dark areas in the picture and other options to adjust the contrast to “make enemies more visible”. Such functions could be turned on and off. It is not yet clear how big the monitors are and what they will cost.
The new Sony Inzone brand would also be used for the introduction of three new headsets. Website 91mobiles has that in collaboration with OnLeaks put the alleged official renders online. It concerns the Inzone H3, H7 and H9, all of which support 360 spatial sound. The H3 is a wired entry-level model and the H9 is the most expensive model, which has the only active noise cancellation. Prices of the headphones are not yet known.
