Download Intel Aero BSP 1.00.03

Intel has for its Aero computer board and Aero ready to fly drone released a new board support package with 1.00.03 as version number. The board has a quad-coreIntel Atom x7-Z8750processor, 4GB lpdrr3-1600 ram and 32GB emmc-embedded storage memory. The same board is used in the ready to fly drone, so you no longer have to tinker to get started. The list of changes for this bsp release is as follows:

Release Notes for v01.00.03:

Following is only applicable for Intel Aero Compute Board:

• Implemented MavLink bridge between UART and WiFi
• Integrated Intel Aero Compute Board JAM file to connect external PX4 module
• Packages or tools added:
  • Mavros: Mavlink communication node for ROS
  • ROS Comm package: ROS communications related packages
• Integrated Aero Flight Controller (PX4) firmware binary as part of ISO
• Added utility to the ISO, which enables update of Aero Flight Controller (PX4) firmware
• Added spidev support for IMU and FPGA

Following is only applicable for Intel Ready To Fly Drone(RTF):

• Integrated RTF drone FPGA JAM file with following functionality:
  • GPS
  • external compass
• Implemented soft power off button support for RTF drone
• Implemented visual notification of shutdown for Intel Aero board
