EA hints at future cross-platform Titanfall releases
While the first Titanfall, the futuristic shooter from Respawn Entertainment, will be released exclusively for Windows, the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One, publisher Electronic Arts plans to release any successors on other platforms as well.
Blake Jorgensen, CEO of Electronic Arts, stated this to investors, reports Eurogamer. Jorgensen said he’s confident there will be future Titanfall games that will be released on other platforms as well. Earlier he indicated that the first Titanfall is and will remain completely exclusive for Windows, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, so there will be no port for the PlayStation 4 later.
Titanfall is a futuristic shooter in which large mechs play an important role, it is also the debut title from developer Respawn Entertainment. The studio was founded by Jason West and Vince Zampella after they were fired from Activision in 2010. At Infinity Ward, the two were at the cradle of the Call of Duty series. Titanfall hits stores March 13.
