Download Total Commander 7.56
Christian Ghisler has released version 7.56 of Total Commander. This program can be used as a replacement for Windows Explorer. Splitting the image in half makes it easy to copy files, but the program can do much more. There are various ways to modify files, there is a built-in ftp client and a multi-rename tool, and there is support for a large number of compression formats. Furthermore, the functionality with plugins be expanded.
New in version 7.56 is, among other things, the ability to start programs added as shortcuts to the toolbar with different privileges by right-clicking on them. Furthermore, the list of found files is now saved and is immediately visible when you return to the search files dialog. In addition, a large number of minor bug fixes have been made.
Total Commander 7.56 for Windows released!
Total Commander 7.56 is now available for download. This version mainly corrects some errors which were found after the release of Total Commander 7.55a, but also adds some minor new features. The most important are:
- Button bar right click menu: Option to run a program as administrator
- Find files: Keep last search results when using “Go to file” or “Cancel”
- Lister and Compare by content: Auto-detect UTF-8 files by their content
