Austrian company announces TVs and set-top box under Nokia brand name
Austrian company StreamView releases televisions under the Nokia brand name. The company comes with different models with screen diagonals from 32 “to 75”. Streamview also shows a Nokia set-top box with Android TV. Prices and release dates are not yet known.
StreamView releases various 4k televisions, among other things. They offer support for HDR10, run on Android TV and come with a remote control with a separate Google Assistant button. For the time being, no concrete models are mentioned on the StreamView website. However, Android Authority writes that StreamView’s 4k line-up consists of televisions from 43 “to 75”, including a 55 “model. The response time is said to be 9.5ms according to the manufacturer and the televisions have four HDMI connections It is not known which version it is, but it is probably HDMI 2.0, which is partly obvious because the televisions according to Android Authority do not go beyond 60Hz.
The Nokia Streaming Box 8000
A Nokia 3200A television is also coming out. That model has a 32 “panel, a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and three HDMI connections. The company also comes with a Nokia Streaming Box 8000. That is a set-top box with Android TV. The Streaming Box 8000 could play 4k images and comes with a remote control with shortcut keys for various services such as Google Play, Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube.
Release dates and recommended prices for the products are not yet known. The set-top box is expected to cost around 100 euros. StreamView does state on its website that the products are intended for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Televisions under the Nokia brand name have already appeared on the Indian market.
