Mozilla Thunderbird is an open source and cross-platform mail and newsgroup client with features such as a junk mail filter, spell checker and of course the functionality can be further expanded with the help of so-called extensions. The developers at the Mozilla Foundation have released a new version with 1.5.0.10 as the version number. The announcement states that two security vulnerabilities have been fixed and reads as follows:

Thunderbird 1.5.0.10 provides stability and security enhancements that are part of our ongoing program to provide a safer email experience for our users. We recommend that all Thunderbird users upgrade to this latest version.
