Sennheiser Announces Momentum True Wireless 2 With Active Noise Canceling
Sennheiser has announced the wireless in-ear earbuds Momentum True Wireless 2. Unlike their predecessors, the earphones have active noise canceling. In addition, they have a longer battery life: 7 hours. The included case can add 21 hours to that.
In addition to noise canceling, the new earphones will have a Transparent Hearing function. This makes the sounds from the immediate vicinity audible. This allows users to have a conversation with people in the vicinity without removing the earplugs, Sennheiser writes.
The manufacturer says that the Momentum True Wireless 2 has also been ergonomically improved to make long-term wearing of the earplugs more comfortable. These earphones are two millimeters smaller than their direct predecessors. These earphones contain 7mm drivers, just like in the first version.
The device has support for the Sennheiser Smart Control App, which allows users to enable the Transparent Hearing feature, among other things. Control is also via the touch-sensitive buttons that are on the ears. These buttons are user adjustable. When the user removes the earplugs from his or her ears, the device immediately pauses the music.
The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 is available from April for 299 euros. Then only a black version is available. A white variant should also come on the market at a later date.
