“Acer comes with 11.6” Windows 8 tablet and resolution of 2560×1440 pixels’

According to rumors, Acer is working on a tablet with an 11.6″ screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The device runs on Windows 8 and an Intel Core i3-soc from the Haswell series. It is unclear when the tablet would be presented .

Rumors about the new Acer tablet became circulated by the Greek website Techblog, which claims the device is currently codenamed Bulgari. Acer would like to equip the device with a Core i3 processor. This is a variant with the Haswell architecture, which Intel is expected to introduce in June.

Furthermore, the probable screen diagonal of the Bulgari is 11.6″, with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Acer’s current range of Windows tablets has a resolution of up to 1920×1080 pixels. The Greek news site also claims that the manufacturer has built-in 4GB of ram and 64GB of storage memory. For photos, an 8-megapixel camera would be available.

Acer is suspected that in addition to an 11.6 “tablet, it is also working on a variant that has a screen diagonal of 8″; one of the first devices with Windows 8 with a screen diagonal smaller than 10.1”. The device would be called Iconia Tab W3 and should be released around the summer. Acer may release its 11.6″ and 8″ tablet will announce at the same time.
