The third beta release of version 0.95 of Exact Audio Copy has just been released. Exact Audio Copy is an advanced audio extraction program for reading protected or unprotected audio CDs to the computer, where you can opt for almost any conceivable compression format. The program was developed by Andre Wiethoff out of dissatisfaction with the extraction programs of the time, which often achieved poor results on damaged CDs. Exact Audio Copy uses a reading technique with which errors can be detected with very high reliability and often even corrected. Through the AccurateRip plugin the quality of the rip can be compared to that of other users.

Version 0.95 beta 3 is available in two variants; a of and a without built-in ability to burn CDs. In this release, various bugs have been fixed and EAC can now wait with shutting down the PC until the external compression programs have finished their work. There are several issues fixed, eg some CUE sheets could not been written to CD-R using CDRDAO and now it is possible to wait for external compressors to finish the job before powering down the computer. For some users with high ping times (like satellite internet users) there is a new command line option called -slowconnect which will wait longer for a connection to be established, hope that will work better.

For the next version, I will finally implement the test & copy function for CD images, due to many requests.[break]
