OnePlus announces 199 euro Nord N100 smartphone

Smartphone maker OnePlus has announced the Nord N100 smartphone from 199 euros. There will also be an N10 5G phone, a 349 euro model with 5G support and a 90Hz screen. The Nord N100 is the cheapest OnePlus phone to date.

Both phones have a fingerprint scanner on the back, a 3.5mm jack and lower prices than current models. OnePlus has not yet revealed all the details, but in any case it is clear that the N100 has a 6.52 “screen, while the N10 5G has a 6.49” screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phones run on OxygenOS 10.5, which is still based on Android 10.

The battery of the N10 5G has a capacity of 4300mAh and can be charged with 30W, while that of the N100 is 5000mAh and can be charged with 18W. Both smartphones appear to be released in early December. According to the OnePlus site, they will be delivered in 36 days.

It is the first time that OnePlus presents a phone that will cost less than 200 euros. The manufacturer did release the OnePlus X in 2015 for 269 euros. That was also the starting price of the OnePlus One a year earlier. After that, the prices of the regular models rose every year. The new 8T costs 599 euros.

Update, 16:16: After publication, OnePlus has increased prices by 20 euros to 199 euros and 349 euros. That were 179 and 329 euros. The article has been adapted accordingly.
