Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing is a platform written for distributed computing and available for Linux, Mac OS X, Unix and Windows. A number of large distributed computing projects use this platform, such as Rosetta@home, SETI@home and ClimatePrediction.net. For more information about the how and what of Boinc, we refer you to this page. The developers have released a new version with 5.8.11 as the version number. The list of modifications looks the same as the previous entry in the muck tracker so we don’t mention it. Probably only a few minor bugs have been fixed.
