Daniel Cumpian updated NewsMan Pro to version 2.6.0.4 last Thursday. With this program news items can be read on Usenet and files can be downloaded. Some of the most notable features include support for multiple news servers, up to six simultaneous download connections, and the ability to set data limits by day, week, or month. The program is also free to use, but then there are some restrictions. For example, the used bandwidth cannot be adjusted, there are only two connections at most and the global header and body search do not work. The changelog for this release shows the following changes:

• Fixed a bug in the Queue that caused imported headers with extremely long subject text to fail to queue properly.
• Added display of X-Face header content to the message viewer.
• Added support for X-Face data for sender profiles. If the current profile contains X-Face data, the X-Face header will automatically be added to outgoing messages.
• Added “All Workgroups” option to Server Conversion utility.
• Fixed Z-Order or spell check dialog.

• Modified the way message references are evaluated to allow “Ignore Branch” to override a “Reply to your post”.
