Spread the love

Martin Aignesberger released the first beta release of AM-DeadLink version 3.0 today. With this program, Internet bookmarks of Internet Explorer, Opera, Mozilla and Firefox can be organized in a simple way. Not only can it quickly see if there are any ‘dead’ links, it can also permanently save the favicons used by some websites, making it easy to quickly find a bookmark in a long list. The changelog for this release shows the following changes:

Changes in version 3.0 beta 1

  • Windows Vista: Flip3D, thumbnail preview and correct animations supported
  • Windows Vista: Use “Segoe UI” as default font
  • Windows Vista: Several controls could disappear when the ALT key was pressed
  • Internal check technology completely rewritten (should fix several “mysterious” bugs)
  • Save all Firefox FavIcons to disk (extract embedded FavIcons)
  • Sort Bookmarks with FavIcons to the top of list (Bookmarks menu)
  • Several user interface tweaks
  • File+Open also works for Opera/Firefox/Mozilla
  • AM-DeadLink could crash on exit when an anti virus software or a desktop search software blocked the configuration files
  • Minor tweaks and fixes
