Download vLite 0.6 beta
Regular visitors to the muck tracker are probably familiar with nLite, the program that creates a custom-build Windows 2000, XP, or 2003 installation CD. Dino Nuhagic, the maker of nLite, has now made a similar program, but for Windows Vista. It allows you to remove components that you don’t use anyway and to make some tweaks and settings that you make afterwards anyway. This way the installation will take less time and Vista may run a little faster. The changelog of this first beta release shows the following changes:
v0.6 beta
- new: 64bit Windows Vista version support
- new: Windows Easy Transfer
- new: Windows Image Acquisition
- new: Windows Collaboration
- new: Scanner drivers
- update: Better filter management
- update: When DVD selected it prompts to copy
- fix: non-Bootable DVD when using Direct Burn
- fix: Performance page dependency
- fix: Media center dependency
- fix: Windows Cardspace dependency
