With Max you can easily convert a music CD into handy audio files on the Mac OS X platform. In addition, it can also convert these audio files to other formats. For example, support for mp3, flac, aac, aiff, WavPack or Ogg Vorbis formats is present and it uses the Lame, Aotuv, Libflac and Core Audio encoders to compress the music. The program can also be used with Musicbrainz fill in the details of, among other things, the artist and titles for you. The developer has finally released a new version with 0.8 as back number.
