Download ClamAV 0.88.6

Clam AntiVirus, as the program is called in full, is an antivirus program for Linux and FreeBSD that mainly focuses on integration into mail servers for scanning attachments. In addition to an antivirus daemon, ClamAV consists of a command line scanner and a tool for automatically updating virus definitions over the Internet. The developers have released a new version with 0.88.6 as the version number. The list of changes looks like this:

Changes in this release include better handling of network problems in freshclam and other minor bug fixes.

• freshclam: apply timeout patch from Everton da Silva Marques (new options: ConnectTimeout and ReceiveTimeout)
• clamd: change stack size at the right place (closes bug#103) Patch from Jonathan Chen
• libclamav/petite.c: sanity check the number of rebuilt sections (speeds up handling of malformed files)
