Sylpheed is a clear and user-friendly e-mail program that works on various operating systems, such as Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X and Windows. The developers have released the fourth beta version of Sylpheed 2.3.0 with the following changes:

The serious problem of resource leak was fixed in Win32 version. Please be sure to upgrade if you are using 2.3.0beta1-3.

• POP before SMTP was implemented.
• Win32: The e-mail menu in the start menu now works when Sylpheed is selected as a default mailer.
• WIN32: The character corruption on printing when environment-dependent Japanese characters are used was fixed.
• Win32: The GDI resource leaks of GtkTreeView in XP classic theme and Windows 2000 which had introduced eventual application crash was fixed.
