Download FileZilla 3.0.0 beta 2

Yesterday the second beta release of version 3.0.0 of the open source ftp client FileZilla was released. FileZilla is a small, but very complete and easy to use ftp client. For example, it has good support for encrypted connections (SFTP over SSH and FTP over SSL/TLS), it has a site manager, support for queuing, proxies and the upload and download speed can be limited. Not much has changed in the appearance of the program. However, it has been rebuilt from the ground up and is now available not only for Windows, but also for Mac OS X, Linux, and FreeBSD. The changelog for this release shows the following changes:

Beta 2 changes:

• Fix timeouts
• “Update available” notification did not go away after updating
• Upload progress for SFTP transfers did advance too fast
• Filters did not apply properly
• UNC paths can now be browsed locally
• Directory listings can now be sorted by timestamp and permissions
