Apple has new firmware for its MacBooks in the form of version 1.4f10 made available. It fixes a minor update to the System Management Control (SMC) that causes the cooling fan in the MacBook to kick in at a lower temperature, making the laptop’s temperature much lower than before, according to initial user experience. The update is on this location as a 420 kilobyte heavy dmg file, and comes with the following release notes:
