Download Winamp 5.25 beta build 825

On their own forum, the developers of Winamp have a new beta version of Winamp 5.25 released. The makers regularly post a small update via the forum, which is then put together with other updates in one major release and then put on the homepage. This time build 825 has been posted, which has a handful of bug fixes related to the playlist and includes a number of fixes in the plugins – specifically the plugin ‘in_mp3.dll’. In this beta build another bug has been discovered in the plugin ‘in_mp3.dll’. That bug has since been removed by the developers, but it has to be done this dll file downloaded and placed in the Winamp plugins folder.

Winamp could only play music files in its early years. At the time it was one of the most well-known programs that could play mp3s in a decent way. Now, several years later, the programmers are developing the Winamp 5 series. The 5 branch is characterized by the plugin support of 2.x and the skin engine of 3.x. At the moment Winamp is a complete media player: not only music files can be played, but it is also possible to watch movies and listen to various radio streams.
