Many websites have a forum where users can engage in various discussions with each other. To do this in a clear form, a handy piece of software is needed so that you can assign different rights with which the forum can be managed. XennoBB is one of these forum packages and runs on a web server with PHP 4.3 or later and MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite. The developers have released version 2.1.0 with the following changes:

We’ve released XennoBB 2.1. You might notice that not all feature requests you made were implemented, since I wanten 2.1 to be a more stable version than feature-full. Besides. the main new feature of this version is the new hooking system, which will allow you to add actions to the “Actions” menu and many more.

Some of the new features:

• multi-quote
• quick quote
• send post to a friend (forward post)
• SBL/XBL spam blocking, which allows you to protect specific files.
• image uploading in polls (now it’s possible to insert images both in posts and polls).
• calendar module can be disabled.
• display of user ranks can be disabled.
• many minor bug fixes and tweaks.
