Download Driver For ATi Catalyst 8.1 hotfix
Many owners of an ATi Radeon video card with an agp connection have recently complained about problems with their video card. The problems mainly occurred with nForce2 motherboards in combination with PCI-e video cards that are bridged to the agp platform, such as the X1950 Pro. AMD struggled to reproduce the issue, but after bringing in an end user’s computer, the leak was finally found. AMD has now released a hotfix that is suitable for Windows XP and Vista in both 32- and 64-bit versions. The hotfix is based on the Catalyst 8.1 release and also brings improved performance to the game Crysis:
This hotfix resolves the following issues:
- Fix for problems with DirectX and Radeon AGP Graphics cards.
- Crysis: DirectX 10 Performance optimizations using Crossfire
