Download Firmware Sony PlayStation 3 3.40

Sony has released new firmware for the PlayStation 3 with version number 3.40. New in this firmware is, among other things, the possibility to use PlayStation Plus. This paid service gives access to special offers and exclusive content, and allows you to try out full games first. Furthermore, photos can be viewed on Picasa and Facebook and it is possible to edit videos and post them on Facebook or YouTube. The full release notes are listed below for you.

PlayStation Network area in Photo Gallery

• [Gebied PlayStation Network] is under [Photo Gallery] added. You can now use Photo Gallery to browse photos on Facebook or Picasa Web Albums. You can also share photos in Photo Gallery with your friends on PlayStation Network.

Video Editor & Uploader

• The Video Editor & Uploader allows you to edit video content stored on your PS3 system’s hard drive and upload it to Facebook or YouTube.

• You can put photos in [Photo Gallery] print now.

• Select a friend’s avatar to view the friend’s trophies count.

• You can now rate products purchased from PlayStation Store using a five-star rating system.
• The internal clock that keeps track of leap years has been improved.
