Download ExifTool 11.27
Phil Harvey has released version 11.27 of ExifTool. ExifTool is a free and cross-platform program that allows the metadata of a large number of files can be managed and edited. It works from the command line, but there are third-party solutions available that allow it to be used with a graphical user interface as well. Since version 11.25, the following changes and improvements have been made:
Changes in version 11.27:
- Added support for more XMP-dji-drone tags
- Added new Olympus CameraType and LensType values (thanks LibRaw)
- Added a new Canon LensType (thanks LibRaw)
- Added a new CanonModelID
- Decode yet another type of GPS from DashCam videos
- Allow FileName to be written when only case is changed on case-insensitive filesystems
- Improved identification of some iWork file types
- Recognize the LRV file extension
- Changed Windows version to use the parent folder of PAR_GLOBAL_TEMP for the temporary documentation file
- Don’t raise an error if an INDD object list is terminated by spaces instead of nulls
- Fixed some problems with new -htmldump IFD highlighting feature
- Fixed bug introduced in 11.24 with “-o -.EXT” feature
Changes in version 11.26:
- Added a new Nikon LensID (thanks LibRaw)
- Decode more tags for the Sony ICLE-6400 (thanks Jos Roost and LibRaw)
- Enhanced -htmldump feature to highlight IFD when mousing over IFD offset
