EK releases Mystic Fog coolant that reacts strongly to RGB lighting
The EK-CryoFuel Mystic Fog liquid is semi-transparent and designed to diffuse light as much as possible for a foggy effect. The coolant is intended for systems with water cooling in one custom loop.
According to EK, the coolant is made in such a way that it does not precipitate, even after hours of inactivity in the cooling loop. The manufacturer uses a proprietary formula that says it contains ‘the perfect ratio of particulate matter to clear coolant base’. As a result, the liquid must offer good cooling performance and at the same time spread the light from addressable RGB LEDs nicely.
The liquid is made in Slovenia, where the company is located. According to EK, it has been tested for countless hours and is a chemically very stable coolant, which is also biodegradable. EK sells the Mystic Fog coolant as a concentrate for 12.90 euros per 250 milliliters. This should be diluted with 750ml of water before use. There is also a one-liter premix available for 15.90 euros, in a limited edition.
