Macecraft Software today released a new version of jv16 PowerTools 2006. This program is intended for cleaning the registry and fine-tuning the PC as a whole. For example, there are modules to manage the cookies, determine which programs are started when Windows starts, and you can search for duplicate files. In this release, the software manager and registry cleaner have been greatly improved, and a lot of bugs have been fixed. The full changelog looks like this:

This updated version contains the following changes:

• Fixed a bug that caused the Software Manager to show only an empty list on some computers.
• Greatly improved the Software Manager, it can now detect more left-over data from old software and also better extract information from the found software.
• Improved the MRU scanning module of the Registry Cleaner, this means the Registry Cleaner will now most likely show many more items than before.
• Added support for new programs to the History/MRU Cleaner, still more will follow.
• Added a translation for Brazilian Portuguese and Latvian.
• A long list of minor bugs fixed.
