A new version of the program can be downloaded from the site of The UseNet Automation tool. It concerns version 1.0.0.28 beta and is available via this URL to download. UNA monitors the download directory of the newsgroup program being used and checks the downloaded file sets against the included PAR files. UNA then extracts the files, so you don’t have to worry about checking and extracting downloaded rar files. In UseNet Automation 1.0.0.28 beta ships with the following release notes:

Fixed

  • The filewatch engine has also been ‘tuned’
  • Popup that kept coming back
  • A complete disk could not be specified as ‘search dir’

Deleted

  • Update functionality is temporarily disabled

added

  • UNA Automatic NZB By Mail
  • New style
  • Do not delete .Rar/.Par2 files but move them to the trash (option)
  • NFOs can now be saved in the ~NFOS map folder

A new feature in this version of UNA is the “UNA Automatic NZB By Mail”. With the help of this feature it is possible to send UNA NZBs remotely, and then have them downloaded by your newsleech program. This is possible by setting an email address in UNA that must be monitored. To use this feature you need to do the following:

  • Start UNA and set the mail account to be monitored
  • Start the FileWatch (Optional)
  • Send an email to the email address you entered in UNA. It is important: send this e-mail with the subject UNA:NZB As attachments you specify the NZBs to be downloaded.
