Anjuta DevStudio is a versatile Integrated Development Environment for the C and C++ programming languages. The program is specially developed for a GTK/GNOME environment on the Linux platform and contains a number of useful functions, such as syntax highlighting, code formatting, breakpoints/watches/signal/stack manipulation. Anjuta DevStudio 2.2.1

Anjuta 2.2.1 is follow up bugfix release to stable 2.2.x (Hurricane) series. It fixes several important crash bugs and improves stability.

Lucky Ubuntu Feisty users can get it pre-built from repository. *But* if you have used this apt repo for previous version, please make sure to remove any version PIN set during previous installation (see: download page for details). Other distros would soon follow their updates.

  • Fixed lots of memory leaks (thanks valgrind)
  • Fixed crasher on shutdown
  • Avoid an endless loop if clearing all breakpoints while the program is running
  • Fixed help activation (bug #451557).
  • Fixed compiler warnings.

Anjuta DevStudio 2.2.0:

Anjuta 2.2.0 (Hurricane) marks the first stable release of 2.x series. After several beta releases and lots of bug fixing work we have finally managed to deliver what we have promised for long; a GNOME IDE that integrates seamlessly with your favorite development tools.

We will continue our dedication to make your hacker’s life as smooth as watching TV. Your continued suggestions and feedbacks is our never ending source of inspiration, so don’t forget to drop us some bug reports when you get a chance.

This release contains many bug fixes critical for the stable release. Please make sure you also install latest gdl and gnome-build (links given below) packages to take full advantage of all improvements.

For those lucky ones running ubuntu feisty on i386, check out the download page for instant gratification with apt repository (this is unofficial. I just created because I could on my machine).
