Nvidia is reportedly planning to release a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti video card in the second half of October. That’s what anonymous sources say add-in-board partners opposite tech site VideoCardz.

VideoCardz sources report that the RTX 3060 Ti is based on a GA104-200 GPU with 4864 cuda cores. This means that the video card has 1024 less cuda cores than the RTX 3070, which has a GA104-300 GPU. Also, the RTX 3060 Ti is rumored to have 152 Tensor cores and 38 ray tracing cores, while the RTX 3070 has 184 and 46 of these cores, respectively.

Furthermore, the alleged RTX 3060 Ti shows similarities with the RTX 3070. For example, the video card has 8GB gddr6 memory with a speed of 14Gbit / s and a 256bit memory bus. That equates to a bandwidth of 448GB / s. The RTX 3070 has exactly the same memory arrangement, as it turned out recently. The clock speeds of the 3060 Ti are not yet known. According to VideoCardz, the power consumption of the RTX 3060 Ti is about 40W lower than that of the RTX 3070, although the website says it only has data from RTX 3060 Ti models with a factory overclock. VideoCardz speculates that the reference model’s power consumption would be 180 to 200W.

The RTX 3060 Ti would hit the market in the second half of October, but a specific release date or price is not yet known. Nvidia previously announced that the RTX 3070 will go on sale on October 15. AMD will unveil its upcoming RDNA 2 desktop graphics cards on October 28.
