Huawei announces Watch GT 2 Pro and Watch Fit wearables
Huawei has announced two new wearables: the Watch GT Pro with titanium and ceramic casing and the Watch Fit with a rectangular amoled display. Huawei also announced two new earphones with a noise cancellation.
The Pro version of the Watch GT 2 released by Huawei last year features a titanium case and ceramic back, while Huawei also uses sapphire glass for the wearable. This brings the weight to 52 grams. With the Pro variant, the manufacturer has improved the measurement of the heart rate in its own words. The GT 2 Pro also has a 1.39 “amoled display with a resolution of 454×454 pixels that supports slide and gesture control. The soc is the Kirin A1 and there is 4GB of storage. The Watch Fit is a sports-specific wearable with a 1.64-inch rectangular AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 456×280 pixels. This wearable also has 4GB of storage and support for wireless charging. The typical battery time is ten days, but with heavy use this drops to seven days. The weight without strap is 21 grams. This wearable costs 129 euros and will be available from September 16.
Huawei announced the FreeBuds Pro and FreeLace Pro earbuds at the same time, both of which have support for noise canceling. The FreeBuds Pro are in-ear buds that can be operated by swiping and squeezing the sides. The FreeLace Pro is a neckband variant with a battery life of one day. After five minutes of charging, the FreeLace Pro should be able to play music for another five hours. The FreeBuds Pro will be released October 5 for 179 euros; the FreeLace Pro will be released on September 20 and will cost 119 euros.
