Lenovo presents Motorola razr 5G phone with larger battery
Lenovo has presented the Motorola razr 5G. The phone has a 2800mAh battery, compared to the 2550mAh battery of the predecessor razr. It supports 5g via the built-in modem of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765-soc. A SIM card can now also be inserted.
The razr 5G is very similar to the previous version. Thus, the housing is approximately the same size. It is slightly shorter when folded out, but a fraction wider and a bit thicker. However, the housing does contain a larger battery and a SIM card slot. As a result, it is now a dual sim device, because the new version supports just like the previous e-sim.
The soc is now a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765, instead of the 710. Storage and memory are also more spacious. The capacity of the memory is 8GB in the 5G version, the storage has a capacity of 256GB. The rear camera has been upgraded to a 30 square millimeter 48 megapixel sensor with 0.8 micron pixels. There is a time-of-flight sensor next to it. The camera in the notch of the screen is a 20-megapixel one.
The fingerprint scanner is now on the back of the Motorola logo and the hinge has a little less resistance to open it with one hand. The chin is slightly smaller than the previous version. The 5G version follows the razr from earlier this year, where Lenovo is said to have sold 200,000 of them. The new razr will be released in two weeks for 1499 euros.
