Download WordPress 2.2.2/2.0.11

WordPress has announced that two new versions of its blog script are available. WordPress is a weblog program under the GPL license. According to the developers, the software can run within five minutes on a computer running PHP and MySQL. In addition to ‘blogging’, it is also possible to expand WordPress through plugins and themes. This time it’s about security updates that include a cross-site scripting vulnerability in uploads.php in version 2.2.2 and a SQL injection blind fishing exploit be fixed in version 2.0.11. The announcement looks like this:

WordPress 2.2.2 and 2.0.11:

Today we have two security-related releases available for both users of our main 2.2 branch and the legacy 2.0 branch. As these releases include only security and minor bug fixes they should not cause any plugin or theme compatibility issues, so you have no good excuse not to upgrade.

On our Trac you can see the bugs closed for 2.2.2 and 2.0.11 to get more details about the problems fixed. With a little more Trac magic you can see all the changed files for 2.2.2 or 2.0.11.
