Microsoft has released the first beta of Exchange Server 2010. The beta is for testing purposes and also puts an end to speculation about the name of Exchange Server 2010, previously dubbed “Exchange 14”. The developers at Microsoft are building on the code of Exchange Server 2007 and have made quite a few changes. For example, Outlook Web Access has been renamed Outlook Live and can also be fully used with non-IE browsers. In addition, the options to offer high availability have been adjusted, so that SCC, LCR and SCR are no longer available and from now on we will look at the database level.
