Download Hyves Desktop 1.0

Hyves has version 1.0 of Hyves Desktop announced. The new version is from this page for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Hyves Desktop makes it possible to chat with Hyves friends, edit and upload photos and leave a doodle with others. The program has been in development since the beginning of this year and replaces the Breeder, which, according to the developers, contained many bugs and there was too little time to fix them. The developers of Hyves Desktop say the following about the new version:

The showpiece of this release, however, is the photo pimper. And this is big pimpin’ baby. Because everyone has them, those photos that are either deadly boring, or that scream for a text or other addition. All handy hands could of course already do that with Photoshop, but now even your grandmother can go wild. In addition to uploading an unlimited number of photos at the same time, you can also pimp photos.

If you select a photo, you can click on Add pimp on the right.
You will then come to a new screen, where you can choose from all kinds of pimps at the top. By drag & drop, or by clicking on the pimp it will appear in your photo. You can then drag, tilt and resize it. In addition to hats, glasses, hairstyles, you can also add a speech bubble to your photo. You can fill in the text yourself and adjust it in color, font and size.
