Download µTorrent 1.9 build 14981 alpha

After two beta releases, a new development version of µTorrent 1.9 has now appeared, which has been released under the alpha flag. µTorrent is a very complete BitTorrent client that uses very little memory and processor, and the size of the program itself is minimal. The most important improvement in version 1.9 is the support for uTP: a way of data transport that focuses on high reliability and minimal latency. Changes:

• .torrent association not a factor in displaying the installer
• Link to EULA in installer
• Added knob to set the uTP target delay (adjusts how hard to push uTP uploads)

Fixed:

• uTP would not ramp up its rate fast enough
• Remove file association registry keys on uninstall
• Invalid encoding of non-ascii urls in web seeds
• uTP fix when receiving acks for old packets
• uTP variable packet size bug
• Don’t wait indefinitely for trackers and UPnP when shutting down (two new advanced options)
