Asus releases ZenBook Pro with UHD screen in early May
Asus will launch the ZenBook Pro UX501 at the beginning of May: a laptop with a screen resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, which will have a Core i7 quadcore and Nvidia GTX 960M. The 15.6 “laptop will cost 1749 euros.
The ZenBook Pro UX501 is a laptop with a 15.6″ screen and dimensions of 383x225mm. The thickness is 20.6mm and the weight is just over 2 kilos. Asus has the model of an IPS screen with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, which leads to a pixel-per-inch value of 282. It is also a touchscreen.
Powerful hardware is present in the housing. The processor is a Core i7-4720HQ quad-core and the video card is the GeForce GTX 960M from Nvidia. The memory is 16GB and Asus comes with two storage variants: one model has a 256GB SSD and costs 1749 euros, while a more expensive variant of 1899 euros has a 512GB SSD.
Furthermore, support for WiFi-ac and Bluetooth 4.0 is not missing and there are three USB 3.0 ports. There is also micro HDMI 1.4, a Thunderbolt annex mini display port interface and a memory card reader. The low-cost variant lacks the Thunderbolt interface. The battery capacity is 96Whr.
