Brain takes ‘browser version Popcorn Time’ offline

Brein has taken the site Nacho Time offline. The ‘browser version of Popcorn Time’ quickly became widely known, but the site is now showing a warning from the anti-piracy watchdog. Brain previously took Popcorn Time sites offline.

The Nacho Time service offered similar functionality to Popcorn Time with an almost identical interface. However, the service worked in the browser, which made watching movies and series one step easier. Nacho Time gained enormous fame in a short period of time and Brein seems to have noticed that too.

The director of Brain, Tim Kuik, told the NOS that he already wanted to take Nacho Time offline and that seems to have been successful now. Nachotime.io now displays the statement “This site has been removed by the BREIN Foundation due to the offer of illegal entertainment content. This website made use of illegal online offer of, among other things, feature films and television series.”

It is not the first time that Brein has set his sights on Popcorn Time and its variants. In the past, hosters of that application were contacted and six sites where the application could be found were also taken offline.
