Blizzard makes Warcraft III characters available for StarCraft II
Blizzard has released the assets of Warcraft 3 for modders of the Public Test Realm of Starcraft 2. It concerns three thousand new materials, the developer announced on his blog on Tuesday.
Blizzard is releasing the assets for the Public Test Realm, a testing service that lets gamers play new content. The assets allow Starcraft 2’s modders to use, among other things, the models, sounds, and effects from Warcraft III.
To access the Public Test Realm, it must be selected in the region dropdown of the Battle.net home screen. Blizzard says the assets for StarCraft II are available immediately. That game was released in 2010, and is the sequel to the 1998 game StarCraft.
